Mid-night Reading

I dont know how you guys feel on the subject of this but it seems as though I get a lot more invested into a book and plot and charcters if I read it at night. This has been the case with many of books written but S J Maas. Of you saw my post before, you would know that I am reading her latest novel, Queen of Shadows. So far this book didn't have that many great hooks to pull you in but I'm reading it tonight and it seems as though I have much more of an urge to read it. Tell me you thoughts!

Rook by Sharon Cameron 6. Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins 7. H2O by Virginia Bergin 8. The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima 9. The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau   10. Feed by M. T. The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey Book Review

This book was truly amazing. The main character was so real and so human to the point that she was so relatable that you'd think that you are the main character, that is if you are female. I had read this book before but forgotten basically everything that happened in it, but with one page after the next, things started coming back. Not only was this book amazingly written and executed, but you could really feel for the characters. I lost my mind in the world and madness that was an alien ridden planet. Although sometimes I was out of place feeling and not knowing exactly where I was, it seemed as though it was done that way on purpose and it made sense. If the character forgot who he/she was or where they were, neither did the reader but it came clear within a couple of pages. Cassie was a great lead and she had really human thoughts and emotions which made me connect with her deeply. When she first meets Evan, she is somewhat distraught as anyone would be if this strange boy took...

The Wrath and the Dawn by Renée Ahdieh Book Review

This book was very much so enjoyable. The writing was exquisite and I found myself being lost between words and pages as I fell into the void that was this book. I loved the characters in this book, although it was hard to remember who was who at times because of the similar but unique names. But they did seem very well developed and they had real thoughts and emotions. Shahrzad did not fall in love with Khalid the instant that they met as many girls and women do in many young adult fiction novels, but instead she barely could stand in the same room as him because of the fiery hatred that infested in her body. As for Khalid, you could really see his struggles and you knew in the back your mind somewhat to how he feels. Tariq, however, I could not stand, in my mind he was a greedy man who only wanted Shahrzad and nothing else, and that may come off as romantic to some, but to me, it made him look needy, greedy, and selfish.  Ahdieh nailed the plot points with this book. She knew e...

A Court of Thorns and Roses By Sarah J. Maas Book Review

This book was spectacular. On so many levels was it brilliant. All of the characters I had this deep emotional connection with. My mind sank into the story as if it was a bed after a long hard day and I could ease into this whole other world of greatness. I loved Tamlin and Feyre together so much, they will forever be the couple that I will always strive to be! Lucien was a great side character especially with all of his quirks and witty lines.  The way that this book was written was spectacular, and I would expect nothing less for S. J. Maas, but she really out-did herself in this epic tale. It was both gruesome and romantic that it was the perfect blend so you wouldn't be sent over the edge of insanity.  There is a character in this book who you hate and is evil but you love at the same time and when you read this book (and you should definitely read this book) you will know who I am talking about.  This book brought me so many emotions that I didn't know how to f...
