The Young World by Chris Weitz Review

I recently just finished The Young World by Chris Weitz. No literally like two hours ago I finished the book. This book was altogether witty, clever, and extremely badass. There were times that I would be reading in class and I would just bite my lips to stop from screaming out about a certain part. When I had about 100 pages left in the book, actually, I decided to flip to the last page to see how many pages I had left and I read one sentence. The last sentence in the book. That one, tiny sentence. It spoiled the entire book for me, I thought. Then I had all of these questions about it and all questions answered!  But all-in-all, this was a fantastic read! The writing style was so unique. The cover was gorgeous. I loved how they changed narration and fonts between chapters. I also thought that one of the main characters, Donna, was so hilarious and so relatable. I wasn't really expecting much out of the book because it was made by a director and the book was kinda iffy, BUT I WA

Exciting News!

Okay so I have exciting news! Well not that exciting but I found it exciting. So with my mother on Mothers' Day, we decided that we were going to go to the mall. Now near the mall that we go to, their is this big Barnes and Noble. Not that big, but a lot bigger than the one near me. So this place had more than one level. So the Young Adult section was like hidden a dark corner, symbolic much?, so it was impossible to find. When I finally found the section, a certain book was beckoning me. You know what that book is? Ill give you some hints, it is set in my favourite time period but with magic, it has the most beautiful cover ever, and it was opped for a movie even before it was EVEN RELEASED!!!  THATS RIGHT!!!! AN EMBER IN THE ASHES BY SABAA TAHIR! SO EXCITED!

Panic by Lauren Oliver Review

In the first 30 pages of reading this book, I really enjoyed it, and thought that I would continue to enjoy it. In the beginning it felt witty, descriptive and kept me on the edge of my seat. Plus my name was in it which does not happen very often at all, (although the girl who had my name in the book was a whore). Then it took a bad turn, I found the characters irritable and the plot confusing. I mean really confusing. It was hard to follow and I don't get why it wasn't written in first person, because the third person but in different points of view was confusing! It did keep me on the edge of my seat which I think helped me to actually finish this book, because at times I was thinking that I couldn't do it, which doesn't happen to me a lot. I thought that it was pretty well-written though. I thought that the ending was great, but I all-in-all didn't really enjoy it. Two White Roses (thats my rating system now)dont ask) ~Laney

Guys and Reading

What is your opinion on guys reading Young Adult? I know that most guys that I know don't even read, but when they do read, they stere away from young adult, because they think that they will be made fun of or think that they are just directed towards girls. This is probably the most ridiculous thing that I have ever heard. WE NEED MORE GUYS READING YA!!!!! and I know that they are out there so Im not trying to exclude anyone, but SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!!!!! ~Laney
